Leaving Colorado was as hard as I expected it to be. I spent the morning having coffee on my parent's porch with my little brother. I didn't want to leave that porch. Leaving that porch meant I had to leave my family and some of my best friends. Leaving that porch meant I had to leave my 2 favorite pets. Leaving that porch meant I was leaving a street I had called home for 2 years, the home I got engaged in and the home we first lived in as husband and wife. But leaving that porch also meant that I was one step closer to my new HOME. A new home where I will continue to enjoy married life. A new home where I will find my next job, and make new friends, and spend time with extended family.
So I eventually left the porch (hours later than planned!) and loaded into the U-Haul and arrived in San Francisco 2 days later.
This is a huge time of transition, and while scary, it is so exciting. Keep reading for many updates on life in the city!
